This lecture will lead you through a detailed look at the anatomy and physiology of the stomach and its role in digestion. 

You will learn about some of the diseases and disorders affecting the stomach which are commonly seen in underwriting and whether they impact mortality. You will also learn understand the signs and symptoms, the risk factors, and diagnostic techniques used to investigate the signs and symptoms which confirm a diagnosis as well as the treatment required.

The lecture will also discuss the potential complication(s) from the diseases and disorders if left untreated, uncontrolled or if present for a long time.

Lastly, you will learn how to capture all of this relevant information from the underwriting evidence and how to evaluate it for mortality impact.
